The announcement arrived with a playful short film directed by Aidan Zamiri, fresh off shaping many visuals for Charli xcx and directing her long feature project The Momentstarring Kylie Jenner. In the clip, a lineup of cinematic fixtures and longtime pals of Anderson and the Maison – including Josh O’Connor, Drew Starkey, Camille Cottin, and Sabrina Carpenter – each step in to perform their own tongue-in-cheek interpretation of Jonathan Anderson himself, before the designer appears as his actual self.
“This is the start of an exciting partnership built around artists and storytelling,” Anderson said of the union. “Putting two creatively driven worlds side by side – you start to see what they pull out of each other that neither could’ve found alone. That’s where the interesting stuff happens.”

Anderson’s cinematic fluency is well documented. Beyond setting trends with his costume design for Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers and Queer, he has approached Dior’s historic relationship with film as a living dialogue, an angle he explored closely for his debut cruise collection. This partnership with A24 converts that creative momentum into long-term infrastructure.
The core of the initiative centers on New York’s historic Cherry Lane Theatre, which A24 acquired and reopened last year. Dior steps in as the venue’s premier partner, marking the first anniversary of its reopening with Both Ends, a one-off performance by Justin Vivian Bond directed by Zack Winokur. Paying homage to poet, playwright, and theatre co-founder Edna St. Vincent Millay, the production features costumes designed by Anderson, highlighted by an archival piece from Paul Poiret – the couturier Millay once wore, and the historical figure who directly informed Anderson’s Dior Winter 2026 collection.
Beyond Cherry Lane, the two-year slate commits to developing emerging talent through curated programming, funding workshops, and creating practical on- and off-screen pipelines for film and theatre students. Rather than settling for a standard co-branded campaign, Dior and A24 are making a deliberate investment in sustained artistic patronage.
