WILLIAM BUCKLEY: Best filming experience so far?

KLAUDIA ADAMSKI: Shooting in the vibrant streets of Ginza, Tokyo. The city’s energy and creativity is undeniable — making it an incredible backdrop. I loved hunting for light, shadows, and colors, allowing the surroundings to inspire spontaneous creation.

WB: Most memorable shoot ever?

KA: Interviewing people who survived a tsunami. Listening to their stories and learning about their experiences taught me a lot.

WB: The best thing about your career is?

KA: I’ve found a way to express myself and bring what’s in my mind to life. I love turning the unseen into something real, making ideas visible, and sharing what my mind creates with others.

WB: Who would you most like to shoot/work with? 

KA: Cate Blanchett.

WB: When did you know this career was for you?

KA: I always had a passion for expressing myself and telling stories through the camera. My journey began in the fashion industry at age 13, first as a model and later working in film production. I was always drawn to connecting these two worlds. But it was when I met my husband that everything clicked — he encouraged me to believe in myself, and I finally picked up one of his cameras and just started shooting.

WB: Who are your biggest influences? 

KA: David Lynch’s movies.

WB: Big night out or cozy night in? 

KA: Cosy night in.

WB: Top life tip?

KA: The best advice I have ever received is a saying: If they throw you out the door, go in through the window. However, it’s better not to force your way through windows or push open doors. Instead, find the doors that are already open for you and follow that path.

WB: A perfect day is?

KA: Arriving in a new city — it starts with a great cup of coffee, then exploring, and wandering through the streets, enjoying and discovering all the new places around me.
