PHARRELL’S NIGHT AT THE MET

Louis Vuitton and Pharrell Williams quite literally took this year’s Met Gala by storm. Not only did they dress some of the most anticipated A-listers to grace the iconic step – Zendaya, Sabrina Carpenter, Lisa, and Doechii among them – but Pharrell also stepped into a new role as co-chair of the event, joining forces with Anna Wintour, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, and ASAP Rocky. For the occasion, he created bespoke looks for each of the guests, marking a significant moment by adding womenswear to his repertoire at Louis Vuitton. ZENDAYA

Zendaya debuts in custom Louis Vuitton womenswear by Pharrell Williams, donning a white silk tuxedo with flared trousers and a wide-brimmed felt hat – a nod to 1980s power-dressing and Black female music icons.

DOECHII

Doechii wears a pearl-buttoned tailcoat with Damier Azur shorts and burgundy accents drawing inspiration from the Rococo stylings of Afro-Caribbean dandy Julius Soubise.

LISA

Lisa wears a structured black lace basque jacket over a corseted body and Monogram tights, adorned with Henry Taylor’s artwork in crystal embroidery, paired with a pearl-embellished Speedy P9 evening bag.

SABRINA CARPENTER

Sabrina Carpenter’s look fuses a burgundy tailcoat-turned train with a corseted body and crystal buttons, evoking stage suit drama with a dandy couture twist.

Pusha T’s burgundy prinstriped suit is accented with pearl buttons and fading crystal embroidery, channeling the sartorial legacy of the Black dandy with elevated, artisanal detailing.
