Panerai adds three fresh faces to its Luminor line, all packed into a newly versatile 42mm case built for everyday wear.

Panerai goes live with its Luminor family expansion this September with three new timepieces – the PAM01710, PAM01711, and PAM01714 – each built around a 42mm case, a size new to this particular trio and pitches as the sweet spot between the collection’s signature presence and genuine everyday wearability. With impeccable timing for Dubai’s outdoor season, all three share the same foundation; a 13.8mm-thick steel case, 50-bar water resistance, and the in-house automatic P.980 caliber, which delivers a three-day power reserve.
Where they diverge is in character, with the PAM01710 leaning classic. Its polished-and-brushed steel case paired with a matte black dial, printed hour markers lit by Super-LumiNova, and a beige canvas strap fastened with a trapezoidal steel buckle in a nod back to Panerai’s 1990s design language.

The PAM01711 takes the same case and flushes it in matte green, with printed Arabic numerals and ivory Super-LumiNova adding contrast and low-light visibility. Its small seconds counter holds its usual spot at 9 o’clock, finished with a matching green canvas strap.

The PAM01714 goes darkest of the three, swapping steel for a DLC-coated case and matching DLC bezel, sharpening the Luminor’s already angular lines. Against that blacked-out shell sits a matte navy dial with beige Super-LumiNova markers, a 9 o’clock small seconds counter, and a blue canvas strap on a DLC buckle, injecting some continuity into the sultriest watch of the three.
Beyond the finishes, Panerai re-exerts its standing in the luxury sports and adventure watches realm, building for extreme underwater and outdoor environments. Made for motion, the launch has given us a glimmer of hope that the temperatures will start dipping so we can take them for some spins around the canyons.
