Dolce & Gabbana and Ray-Ban join forces for a hot girl summer eyewear drop where Aviators get a Sicilian attitude adjustment.

When two icons share a sunbed, things are bound to heat up.

Enter the collaboration between Dolce & Gabbana – the House of maximalist Mediterranean fantasy – and Ray-Ban – the undisputed authority on cool, worn by everyone from fighter pilots to off-duty supermodels. On paper it’s a meeting of the opposites, but in practice, the chemistry is blinding.

In between the two of them is the Aviator, Ray-Ban’s near 90-year-old silhouette, now recast through D&G’s unapologetically glamorous lens.

The outcomes are two reworked styles that feel like vintage classics that have spent a long, indulgent summer somewhere between Capri and chaos.

Coming in hot is the Shooter, this is the bolder of the two with a distinctive mother-of-pearl brow bar and (because subtlety is never the brief with this duo) a built-in cigarette holder detail that nods to a certain old-school decadence.

The teardrop lenses come dipped in a spectrum of ice-lolly to icier-lolly: orange, pink, green, blue, and yellow catch the light in mirrored and transparent designs. All while, the frame itself stays slim and metallic, letting the color do all the talking.

Then there’s the Outdoorsman II, still rooted in the Aviator DNA, it sharpens things up a bit with a pronounced brow bar and a more graphic silhouette. The palette here leans softer but no less considered in powder pink, beige, brown, green, and blue.

Both styles come stamped with dual Dolce & Gabbana and Ray-Ban branding with an exclusive leather and gold-tone case doubling as an accessory. Complete with straps, carabiners, and Dolce & Gabbana’s signature detailing, they’re designed to clip onto bags, belts, really anything that could turn storage into styling.

The shades feature in the upbeat summer loving campaign shot by Gray Sorrenti. It’s all sun-drenched skin, poolside nonchalance, and beachside bravado for these guys and gals. Models sprawl across loungers, dive into pools, handstand on the sand, all while staring down the lens like they’ve got nowhere to be except exactly where they are. Summermaxxing at its fullest.

Together, Dolce & Gabbana and Ray-Ban have created a whole campaign from taking a classic and letting it misbehave just enough.
