BURBERRY IN FULL BLOOM

Written By: Khansaa Houlbi

As the spring gently awakens the British countryside, Burberry plants its seed on fertile new ground with its new Highgrove x Burberry capsule collection.

Just as the first signs of spring burst through the soil, Burberry plants its latest creative seed in the most quintessentially British of gardens – Highgrove. In a collaboration that feels like a fresh breeze through heritage halls, the iconic fashion house joins forces with the private sanctuary of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, transforming royal grounds into a runway of blooming ideas.

This marks the fourth season of Burberry’s ongoing partnership with the King’s Foundation – a charity rooted in preserving traditional skills and nurturing the natural world. With its Royal Warrant in hand and sustainability stitched into its seams, Burberry brings a playful reverence to the countryside it calls home. The result is a collection that fully embraces British heritage, celebrating it with the freshness and vitality of a garden after the rain.

Directing this season’s creative journey is artist Helen Bullock, whose paintings of the Highgrove Kitchen Garden set the tone for the 28-piece collection. This walled garden, a hidden gem within the estate, becomes Bullock’s canvas – where fruit trees twist and bloom, poppies dance alongside cosmos, and honeybees buzz around a weathered stone fountain, Her artworks are not only decorative but also evocative, capturing the untamed grace of nature under royal preservation.

Under the creative direction of Daniel Lee, the collection becomes more than a seasonal offering – it becomes a sartorial stroll through the British countryside. “This new collection in collaboration with Helen Bullock is the result of our strong and continuing partnership with Highgrove,” says Lee. His approach merges modern silhouettes with rural charm, blending painterly abstraction with practical elegance

To bring the collection to life, Burberry tapped into Britain’s own dramatic tradition. Actors Elizabeth McGovern and Laura Carmichael as well as Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, in a series of portraits that capture the spirit of the collection against a backdrop of manicured hedges, sunlit orchards, and ivy-draped stonework. Shot by Camille Summers-Valli, the campaign reads like a cinematic afternoon in the coutnry side: refined, nostalgic, and tinged with that particular British light.

The celebration extends beyond clothing and campaign. In flagship stores across the globe, Burberry is reimagining retail as a multi-sensory garden experience. From Regent Street in London to Sanlitun in Beijing and all the qya to Qingdao and Miami, windows bloom with Helen Bullock’s artwork, surrounded by sculptural florals and benches that echo the tranquility of an English garden.

This collaboration redefines what it means to be a heritage brand today – Highgrove x Burberry brings together the past and the present, creativity and nature, tradition and modern style in one thoughtful blend.
