MAKE IT MAXI
It’s been nearly a year since Daniel Lee’s appointment as the creative director of Bottega Veneta, and the British designer is finally debuting new bags. Adding his own touch to the Italian label’s covetable leather goods collection, the Maxi Cabat is a modern take on the Cabat, a house classic designed in 2001 and reinvented by Lee this season in three styles, plus a smaller version, the Maxi Cabat 30. The Pouch, an oversized clutch, also makes its debut, available in three sizes (one is wearable), in a palette of natural shades and pop colors. Timeless and unisex, all are proposed in velvet calf intrecciato, the brand’s hand-woven signature (the Maxi Cabat takes two full days to create). The sleek look is a minimalist aesthetic with a massive impact, promising to become an accessories mainstay.
